And they are told they cannot eat from it, but someone else continues pointing out how delicious the food is. That would be seducing them into an action--tempting, really.
It also means to attract someone powerfully! Like with music. Luring someone in with the sweet melody that draws them close because it touches their heart.

Ah, but mon ami, the last meaning is one of the most important definitions. To seduce someone is to entice them into sexual activity!
